FIRST CIVIL LAWSUIT OVER COLORADO MASSACRE

One of the victims in the James Holmes massacre has retained counsel and is preparing a lawsuit against the threatre which he feels dropped the ball in providing security. Terrence Brown Jr. was in the Century 16 Theater when Holmes attacked. While he was not physically injured, he claims to have suffered severe emotional trauma. His attorney Donald Karpel says the theater was negligent in having an emergency door in the front which was not alarmed or guarded. It is believed that Holmes entered the threater with a ticket, propped open the emergency door, went to his car and returned with his guns.
