FORMER CHIEF EXEC OF NEWS CORP REBEKAH BROOKS ARRESTED IN LONDON

The former Editor of News international’s the News of The World and The Sun, Rebekah Brooks has been arrested in London for the News of The World phone hacking scandal allegations. She was arrested at noon on Sunday by appointment at a London police station of conspiring to intercept communications and on suspicion of corruption allegations. She was editor of News of the World in 2002 when a private investigator was allegedly retained by the tabloid to hack the voicemail of murdered teenager Milly Dowler in 2002. Her arrest is the 10th in an ongoing investigation. Former editor Andy Coulson, who also served as Prime Minister David Cameron’s director of communication until the hacking story broke, was also arrested this week, along with former editors and reporters.
