IRAQI POLICE TRAINING COS. CALLED WAR PROFTEER AND MUST PAY $8 MILLION TO GOV.

DynCorp International LLC and The Sandi Group have agreed to pay $8.9 Million to settle a whistleblower lawsuit for submitting false claims for payment under DynCorp’s contract with the Department of State to train civilian police in Iraq. The suit was filed by two former TSG employees under the qui tam provisions of the federal False Claims Act and they will share $500,000. The government announced its commitment to investigate wartime profiteering and that it is reviewing many claims for work in Iraq and afghanistan.
