IRS posts list of its top priorities as a roadmap for whistleblowers with insider knowledge and evidence

The Internal revenue Service has set forth guidance to those wishing to reveal major tax fraud under its whistleblower program. Here are the agency’s top priorities:

  1. High net worth/high income non-filers

2. Global high wealth tax evaders

3. Large corporate non-compliance with tax filings and reporting

4. Employment tax evasion

5. Transfer pricing violations by global companies

6. Nonfilers or fraud relating to cryptocurrency owners

7. Violations of the Bank Secrecy Act concerning major money laundering
