LAWSUITS FILED OVER ADS ON RUSH LIMBAUGH SHOW

Humana, a Kentucky based health care company has sued preval group the marketer of pills that purportedly boost memory. In the lawsuit, Humana says Preval’s ads for a drug called “concentra” caused customers across the nation to complain about Humana’s advertising on the Rush Limbaugh show. Humana argues that Preval knew that its ads on the Limbaugh program would garner widespead attention at a time when the show was involved in a national controversy.Limbaugh, of course, got into hot water when he said nasty things about a Georgetown law student who defended the Obama administration’s policies on insurance-funded contraception. The radio host called her a “slut” and demanded to know why taxpayers should have to pay for her sexual activity.Humana feels its trademark has been harmed and is seeking damages.
