TYLENOL LIVER FAILURE SUIT AGAINST JOHNSON AND JOHNSON ADVANCES IN FEDERAL COURT

A Tylenol lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson, alleging that a woman suffered liver failure from taking Tylenol is now advancing in Federal Court in Florida. Charlotte Lee Thompson was hospitalized in an emergency basis at Shands Jacksonville Hospital in February 2008 as a result of severe liver damage and remained there with liver failure for ten days. Tylenol contains acetaminphen which the FDA says can cause liver failure and which has resulted in more than 50,000 emergency room visit and 25,000 hospitalizations and over 450 deaths annually from overdoses.
