Uncle Sam Sues ATI Tech For Fraud on Stats and Enrolling Non-Eligible Students

The United States gas filed a complaint against the private for profit chain of schools ATI Technical Training for misrepresenting its job placements statistics to the government and also for enrolling non-eligible students who had no diplomas or recognized equivalents. In addition, it is alleged the company also falsified high school diplomas; fraudulently kept students enrolled even though they should had been dropped for poor grades pr attendance; and made knowing misrepresentations to students about their future employability. The government also says that ATI did this to induce studebnts to enroll and increase the school’s receipt of federal dollars.
