WHISTLEBLOWER LAWSUIT: OUTSOURCING SERVICES GOV CONTRACT GIVES ACCESS TO SECURITY SENSITIVE US COMPUTERS

A whistleblower has filed a major lawsuit against En Pointe Technologies stating that the company has exposed US computer systems to individuals in India and Pakistan by outsourcing its work. The lawsuit says that the company and its CEO and other execs falsely told the City of San Diego that if it gave them the contract for the city computer help desk, no work would be sent offshore. That’s what apparently happened with companies in Mumbai India and another in Pakistan. This, he says, gave individuals abroad direct and unfettered access to state and federal computer systems, including law enfor ement computers including Homeland Security. The case was filed under a whistleblower law that would allow the individual to obtain a percentage of what the government recovers in the case.
