CEO of J&J unit Janssen in Korea faces criminal charges over defective Children’s Tylenol Sales

The CEO of Johnson & Johnson’s subsidiary Janssen, which manufactures Œ over the counter drugs in Korea may face criminal charges for continuing to sell Children’s Tylenol after discovering it might contain more than the labeled amounts of acetaminophen. Too much of this drug can lead to liver damage. During the period of time that the company was aware of the problem, it sold about 38,000 of Children’s Tylenol, according to the Director of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. The MFDS also said the company was manually filling containers with the ingredient because a filling machine was not working properly. If convicted, Janssen’s CEO could face up to three years in jail. Jeffrey Newman represents whistleblowers.
