MURDOCK UK PAPER REPORTER: EDITOR TOLD ME TO BRIBE COPS U.S. AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING

A statement given by a former reporter on the News of The World Newspaper could now lead to proven bribery charges against journalists form Rupert Murdoch’s newspapers. This, according to reports is giving the United States Securities and Exchange Commission jurisdiction to investigate whether the corporation violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Corporations which trade on American stock exchanges are subject to the oversight of the S.E.C. regardless of where they are located in the world and U.S. law prohibits bribes to any foreign officials or their agents.
